Leader of the delegation,
Mr Ekejiuba Deberechi Kingsley
Outlined the objectives of the Association to the Chairman of Bende LGA. Through his remarks, the vision and mission of Progressive Abia Youths Bende LGA to host a debate competition across schools in Bende came to bare as he seamlessly
magnified the benefits of this program to the delight of the LGA
Chairman and his Executive team.
The voter registration exercise as described by Mr. Kingsley was well received.
Bende LGA coordinator, *_Innocent Kalu Jonah_* unveiled the flex in other to elucidate his point on the importance of the debate competition program; describing the benefits which include a one year scholarship award to 10 students and other awards to the winning schools.
Receiving the delegates, Bende LGA chairman, *_Chief Emmanuel N.O Onwuchekwa_* welcomed PAY and her noble ideas. He acknowledged the debate as a welcome development and promised to partner with PAY to achieve her lofty generation-building initiatives.
The delegation also met with the secretary to Bende Local Government Prince Ibuchim Okorie
who talked about prevalent social vices and how this competition would reorientate the Students, to be nation builders and not nation destroyers.
We are interested in catching them young.
Also in the meeting were: Hon pastor Charles Uwakwe (chief of Staff), Hon Kingsley Uwakwe (Director of protocol) and Chief ihechi Philips.
The outing today was indeed a great success.
