The Metro are reporting that Maurizio Sarri is frustrated with the way that Chelsea are preventing him from leaving the club to join Juventus.
It’s claimed that Marina Granovskaia is “digging her heels in” to try and get more money, and more time to sort a replacement.
Sarri is worried that he’s going to miss the chance to take up the post at the Italian giants, and the piece even has quotes from the President he worked with at Empoli, Fabrizio Corsi, who says the coach is “pessimistic” and “grumbling” about the way Chelsea are dealing with things.
He may well be stressed but he shouldn’t be surprised.
The club want more time and more money, and he still has two years left on his deal. Ultimately this is small money for Juventus, so if they really want him they can pay.
Once we’ve considered who we want to come in as his replacement, and made a preliminary deal with them, things should move smoothly.
